This is so cute & it's so true. Kids nowadays are so spoil by their grandparents to the max & I have testimonial to that remark!
Gosh...
Received this thru forwarded e-mails, a very good article. EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies. Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening TO YOU. People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that __expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU. Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts. The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage. At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment. Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work,a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this): THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND. SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the expression "the labor of love." Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work. Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage. Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically strongerm certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause & effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love. Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling... Remember this always - "God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go."

We were in Midvalley yesterday nite to meet up with Sam & Louise for dinner. We reached there around 7ish and proceed to Lil Penang Cafe. After dinner, when walking towards the car park, we got "pulled" into HSL and and we got ourself a small Sanyo CD player c/w radio fm. Cheap la... can't help it, moreover it's so cute and small... hehehhee... In the car park, we saw our baby Kenari parked along with new neighbours, and I took a pic of "them"... hahahaha.. Can't help it la, not everyday I chanced upon such a cute lil sight, all 3 limited edition colors woh. How cute is dat? In another word, I got nothin better to do... ;p

At last we went to OASIS in Bangsar to have dinner... hehehehe... Jakun ma me, never been there. Definitely a very nice place to hang out with frens, to lepak. And valet parking is at RM4! Can you believe it? Hehehehe... Everyone was shocked at 1st when the valet boys asked us to get down from the car and pay RM4, we were like "What?!" especially Chui Mei, should see her respond to the valet boys, classic! hahahaha... Me, Kelwin & Sam were early birds. Then Leong joined next, Chui Mei came, Clement, Audrey & Sean. The food is nice, especially the sambal they had in their Nasi Lemak. Kelwin was in sambal heaven for the nite. Crazy Kel & Leong really can eat! Pizzas for starters? Siao kia... hehehehe... We were seated near the huge projector screen, and we saw the Portugal vs England game that nite. Cristiano Ronaldo is oh-my-gawd-he-is-so-gorgeous! And yay! Portugal won! Poor Beckham, I think he was crying la, but kesian jugak England fans. And I can't believe it, Brazil is out too... wow... Shocking! I think rite, Brazil was too confident, but then it's my opinion la... Overall, it was a good nite. Was there till 2ish, went back straight home & crashed to dreamland. Went back to Malacca on Friday nite with Ian cus he needed a place to stay for the nite before as he was the photographer for Louise's wedding on Saturday. And yours truly, is the chee mui. Reached home around late 11ish or so... was so dead tired. Next morning we gotta wake up at 5am! OMG! My own wedding oso, I din have to wake up so damn early... but wat to do... for the sake of Louise... reached the bride's home at 6am and Ian has already started his work... snapping around. Anyway Syin's mom cooked us "mee sua" and it was oh-so-delicious-oh! It was *sluurrrrrpppp*... hehehee... Then it all started la, the groom arrived, played a few tricks on him, get our angpau, he gets his bride (system barter here) wakakkakaa... then off to Klang... started raining and I was already about to fall asleep... Syin was driving Ian's car as he wants to take pictures along the way and I was chillin at the back seat... hehhehee... We reached Klang around 1ish in the afternoon, loitered around at the in-laws, then off to hotel to take a break before dinner starts... Dinner was good, food was good, crowd was good... and I was so dead tired... The next day, woke up around 2pm (hehehehe!) and then did some house works and we went to Oldtown Kopitiam with hubby & Syin & Joanne. They serve the best white coffee guys, and toast with curry is oooooooohhh... yummy. Came back home, all of us watched Zathura on DVD and then hubby caught the England vs Ecuador while I oink oink... Overall a good but tiring weekend... Can't wait for our SG trip!
Was in the car with hubby on our way back home yesterday, as usual passing the Mines toll (THANK GOD for no traffic jam!). All of a sudden, *beep* *beep* an sms & a missed call from Kelwin. Then I was thinking to myself... "Aik, why this fella sms me?" So I asked him, he said read la what's the content about. Sekali open, "BabyMonitor Alert"... and yours truly is like "HUH?"... the he giggled. He said that next time can put his mobile phone near the baby and when baby cries, the phone will detect the crying (loud voices) and call Mommy on the phone. And am like... wakakakkakakakakakkakaka...
i got this from my everyday email from MountainWings... it's a nice read & the facts are quite scary & funny...
Preparation for parenthood is not just a matter of reading books and decorating the nursery. Here are 12 simple tests for expectant parents to take to prepare themselves for the real-life experience of being a mother or father.
1. Women: to prepare for maternity, put on a dressing gown and stick a beanbag down the front. Leave it there for 9 months. After 9 months, take out 10% of the beans. (oh my gawd...)
Men: to prepare for paternity, go to the local drug store, tip the contents of your wallet on the counter, and tell the pharmacist to help himself. Then go to the supermarket. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office. Go home. Pick up the paper. Read it for the last time.
2. Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who are already parents and berate them about their methods of discipline, lack of patience, appallingly low tolerance levels, and how they have allowed their children to run riot. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's sleeping habits, toilet training, table manners and overall behavior. Enjoy it - it'll be the last time in your life that you will have all the answers. (am working on it...)
3. To discover how the nights will feel, walk around the living room from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12 lbs. At 10 p.m. put the bag down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, till 1 a.m. Put the alarm on for 3 a.m. As you can't get back to sleep get up at 2 a.m. and make a drink. Go to bed at 2:45 a.m. Get up again at 3 a.m. when the alarm goes off. Sing songs in the dark until 4 a.m. Put the alarm on for 5 a.m. Get up. Make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful. (oh dear...)
4. Can you stand the mess children make? To find out, smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains. Hide a fish finger behind the stereo and leave it there all summer. Stick your fingers in the flowerbeds then rub them on the clean walls. Cover the stains with crayons. How does that look? (oh my GOD! this one i will fail...)
5. Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems: first buy an octopus and a string bag. Attempt to put the octopus into the string bag so that none of the arms hang out. Time allowed for this: all morning. (hahahhahahahahha....)
6. Take an egg carton. Using a pair of scissors and a pot of paint, turn it into an alligator. Now take a toilet tube. Using only scotch tape and a piece of foil, turn it into a Christmas cracker. Last, take a milk container, a ping pong ball, and an empty packet of Coco Pops and make an exact replica of the Eiffel Tower. Congratulations. You have just qualified for a place on the playgroup committee. (creative ma...)
7. Forget the Miata and buy a Taurus. And don't think you can leave it out in the driveway spotless and shining. Family cars don't look like that. Buy a chocolate ice cream bar and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there. Get a quarter. Stick it in the cassette player. Take a family-size packet of chocolate cookies. Mash them down the back seats. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car. There. Perfect. (oh GOD, another one...)
8. Get ready to go out. Wait outside the toilet for half an hour. Go out the front door. Come in again. Go out. Come back in. Go out again. Walk down the front path. Walk back up it. Walk down it again. Walk very slowly down the road for 5 minutes. Stop to inspect minutely every cigarette end, piece of used chewing gum, dirty tissue and dead insect along the way. Retrace your steps. Scream that you've had as much as you can stand, until the neighbors come out and stare at you. Give up and go back into the house. You are now just about ready to try taking a small child for a walk. (*pengsan*)
9. Always repeat everything you say at least five times. (cia-lat...)
10. Go to your local supermarket. Take with you the nearest thing you can find to a pre-school child -- a fully grown goat is excellent. If you intend to have more than one child, take more than one goat. Buy your week's groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goats eat or destroy. Until you can easily accomplish this do not even contemplate having children. (i have seen this somewer...)
11. Hollow out a melon. Make a small hole in the side. Suspend it from the ceiling and swing it from side to side. Now get a bowl of soggy Weetabix and attempt to spoon it into the swaying melon by pretending to be an airplane. Continue until half the Weetabix is gone. Tip the rest into your lap, making sure that a lot of it falls on the floor. You are now ready to feed a 12-month-old baby. (aarrrghhhh...)
12. Learn the names of every character from Postman Pat, Fireman Sam and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When you find yourself singing "Postman Pat" at work, you finally qualify as a parent. (i like this one...)
